POSITION SUMMARY

As the Social Media Coordinator for the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs, you will be responsible for managing and executing the organization's social media strategy. You will play a key role in increasing brand awareness, engaging with the target audience, and promoting the center's programs, events, and initiatives across various social media platforms. This position requires a creative individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for entrepreneurship and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Strategy Development: Collaborate with the marketing team to create and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the center's goals and objectives. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in social media marketing.

Content Creation: Develop engaging and relevant content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Create compelling text, image, and video content that resonates with the center's target audience.

Community Management: Monitor and engage with the center's social media communities, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Foster positive relationships with followers, partners, and influencers.

Social Media Advertising: Plan, execute, and optimize paid social media campaigns to increase reach, engagement, and conversions. Utilize targeting options and analytics to identify opportunities for improvement and adjust strategies accordingly.

Analytics and Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics, including audience growth, engagement, website traffic, and conversion rates. Use data insights to drive continuous improvement and make data-driven recommendations for future campaigns.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, events, and program teams, to ensure social media efforts align with overall marketing campaigns, events, and program promotions.

Influencer and Partnership Engagement: Identify and build relationships with relevant influencers, industry experts, and potential partners to amplify the center's reach and engagement on social media.

Social Listening: Monitor social media conversations, trends, and industry news relevant to entrepreneurship and innovation. Stay informed about industry-specific topics and identify opportunities for thought leadership and engagement.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in managing social media platforms for a brand, organization, or agency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and concise content.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience in social media advertising and campaign management.
  • Proficiency in using social media management and analytics tools
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think strategically and generate innovative ideas.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with entrepreneurship, innovation, and startup ecosystems is a plus
