Sales and Distribution Job Description

Loveland Aleworks is an independent, growing self distributed family-owned brewing company dedicated to quality, integrity and always making great beer and providing remarkable customer service.

Joining Loveland Aleworks comes with the expectation that you take your beer seriously and back that up by furthering your knowledge and education of not only Loveland Aleworks, our beer and culture, but the craft beer industry and consumer consumption habits and preferences.

Loveland Aleworks Sales Representative (SR) will call on accounts within assigned territory to drive growth for Loveland Aleworks, make beer deliveries, schedule, work, set-up/break-down events. SR is also tasked with furthering your knowledge of craft beer and the industry. SR will also cover for reps from other territories that are on vacation and work within all accepted policies and procedures.

SR position includes the below tasks and responsibilities. The SR will work a minimum of 40 hours per week with overtime as needed especially during the festival season. This list is not all inclusive, and may be adjusted and added to at the discretion of management.

Own your territory. SR will be given an assigned territory and must produce growth in this territory by selling into new accounts and selling deeper into existing accounts. Assigned territory will have plenty of opportunity for growth.
Document correspondence with accounts in the Sales and Delivery shared records sheet. Collect accurate and up to date account information including, business name, address and account buyer information, accounts payable information and any other pertinent contact information.
Create a strategic selling strategy that embodies the values, dedication and resolve of Loveland Aleworks.
Loveland Aleworks will provide Strategic Selling Strategy expectations, but it will be the responsibility of the SR to create a schedule of calling on accounts, following up and building routes and improving the strategy every chance we get. We expect a personal element to be applied by you to build rapport with customers, meet the customer�s needs and produce growth within the territory.
Be open minded and take note during your exposure to the diverse market. Be mindful of shifts and variations as well as collect ideas, marketing and branding approaches as much as real product innovations within the craft beer market and communicate inspiration, ideas and strategies to management and brewers.
Work with all Loveland Aleworks SRs to help with beer deliveries, special events and covering territory if a colleague is on vacation. We are a team and rely on each other for support and success.
Be proactive at communicating to management, brewers and fellow SR�s by relaying any feedback, concerns or successes in the territory.
Follow all policies and procedures as defined by management
Schedule, coordinate and work events in the territory to help drive growth in the territory.
Specifically, hand sales, collaboration brews and events with neighboring breweries, liquor stores and bars/restaurants.
Schedule, coordinate and work events state wide to help drive overall growth.
Specifically, festivals and special events.
Show growth for all Loveland Aleworks available brands in the territory.
Place relevant POS in all relevant accounts in territory to help build brand awareness of Loveland Aleworks brands.
Make suggestions for POS and promotional items, merchandise and giveaways.
Work to become a skilled draft tech to help diagnose and resolve basic draft issues.
Work to become a Server Level Cicerone within 90 days of starting the role.
Commit to regular educational growth by utilizing access to online seminars, articles, periodicals and the Loveland Aleworks library of resources in addition to specific training or continuing education assigned by management.
Maintain and organize all tools, vehicles, equipment and electronics on a regular basis and as defined by management.
Document vehicle and equipment maintenance as defined by management.
Use Loveland Aleworks google sheets, 7shifts scheduling software, 7tasks software, roadwarrior, quickbooks, work email and phone in a professional manner. Never share passwords or information from any Loveland Aleworks program or device with anyone other than Loveland Aleworks management or fellow sales representatives.
Maintain a high level of discretion by keeping sensitive information about Loveland Aleworks to yourself.
Take Loveland Responsible server training course, scheduled by Loveland Aleworks within the first 90 days of employment.
Adhere to safe, defensive driving practices at all times and adhere to Loveland Aleworks vehicle operation and maintenance policy and procedures.
Adhering to scheduled meetings with management, submit a weekly summary of territory activity and a detailed monthly report, outlining A,B & C accounts and strategy of how the accounts are being maintained, plan adding growth (acquiring additional shelf space) to active accounts, status of prospective accounts actively being pursued and prospective accounts to be pursued.

Loveland Aleworks will pay a base hourly rate and after a satisfactory 30 day probationary and training period will assign a Sales and action item bonus structure based on set performance goals and growth in the territory.

If applicable, the Sales Bonus will be paid on a monthly basis on the first pay day following the last sales day of the previous month.

Regular working hours are a minimum of 40 hours per week Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, not including special events and tastings that often fall on weekend days and evenings.

Overtime will be paid as applicable at a rate of 1.5 times the regular hourly rate.

Paid Time off is earned at a rate of 1 hour for every 40 hours worked and starts accruing at the beginning of employment.

Meal Periods
Meal period breaks of at least a 30-minute duration when the shift exceeds five consecutive hours of work are required to maintain personal wellbeing and safety. Such breaks shall be taken at least one hour after the start, and one hour before the end of the shift. During this time, the employee is completely relieved of all duties and permitted to pursue personal activities for a period to qualify as non-work, uncompensated time.



Rest Periods
A compensated 10-minute rest period for each 4 hours of work is authorized as follows:
Over 2 up to 6 authorized 1 10-minute rest period
Over 6 and up to 10 authorized 2 10-minute rest periods
Over 10 and up to 14 authorized 3 10-minute rest periods
