Safety Technician
Provide Standby Rescue Service to support entry into Confined Spaces at customer sites across the U.S.. In addition to Standby Rescue Service, will also be tasked with providing Safety supervision over workers performing repair and maintenance work within power generation facilities. Ideal candidate will be capable of transitioning into training and consulting in various safety subject areas as experience is gained. We will provide all necessary training in both Technical Rescue and Safety supervision.
Candidate must be comfortable with working at elevation and within tight spaces. Candidate must have mechanical aptitude to be able to learn various rope and rigging configurations and use all necessary technical rescue equipment. Job requires ability to wear and use self contained breathing apparatus without medical restrictions. Job requires extensive walking, stairs, and moderate lifting ability.
Position involves extensive travel with the position being based out of North Syracuse, NY when not on travel. Overtime is extensive during busy seasons with some weeks working 12-hour shifts 7 days/week when on travel. Will be working both as part of a team as well as independently.
Military veterans and/or fire or medical emergency responder experience preferred but not required.
