We are looking to hire an experienced Quality Assurance Technician (Food Production).

POSITION SUMMARY:

Evaluates the compliance of our processes with our quality systems at our Louisville Bakery, assuring company standards are maintained and product integrity is preserved. Maintains existing and recommends updates to existing quality assurance standards, processes, and controls for receiving, production, packaging storage and shipping of finished goods. Keep records and Provides information regarding quality and other key performance indicators to interested parties. This position reports to the QA Manager at Izzio Bakery.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

�This role will be instrumental in helping ownership, operations and production teams to implement systems that drive reduction in consumer complaints year over year

�Provide support, training and review of quality and sanitation controls as well as policies to ensure they are effectively in place. These include master sanitation schedules, self audits, external audits; GMP, Traceability and HACCP, Kosher and Organic programs adherence, Label compliance,

�Determine overall plant product quality by conducting and evaluating various product tests and tests related to ingredients and packaging;

�Inspects then plant and recommends/implements quality control testing, equipment sanitation, general sanitation and housekeeping practices. Keeps track of the corrective actions performed and timelines.

�Collect the information and keep daily production and receiving records and issue the reports on factory waste.

�Oversees the receiving of materials in all aspects regarding internal controls, quantity and quality.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION:

�Applicants are required to have relevant studies in technical fields and/or experience in a food manufacturing environment

�Effective verbal and written communication skills resulting in the development of reports and procedures.

�Relevant quality line control experience. Including GMP�s, Food Defense and HACCP

�Computer aptitude, including generation and use of documents in: Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

�Good organizational skills

DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
�Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques.
�Experience in working with 3rd Party audit companies. GFSI quality standards knowledge a plus

�Bilingual is a plus

Compensation is based on level of experience, including education, years of experience compared to requirement, machine operations/troubleshooting and bakery or food manufacturing industry experience. The range provided is a guideline and does not mean that all candidates or current employees will qualify for the high end of the range.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
