Tulchin Research, a leading national Democratic polling and strategic consulting firm, seeks a Project Coordinator in their downtown San Francisco office.

Recently named Pollster of the Year by our peers in the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC), Tulchin Research provides consulting services and public opinion insights to candidates for elected office, ballot measure campaigns, labor unions, non-profits, corporations, and foundations. We have polled on behalf of candidates for President, Governor, U.S. Senate and Congress. We recently provided public opinion research for Bernie Sanders’s presidential campaign (2016 and 2020), Eric Adams’ recent mayoral victory in New York City (2021), campaigns for local and state offices across the country and ballot measure and issue advocacy work. Our efforts have impacted voters from New York to Hawaii and beyond.

The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Tulchin Research team on all projects from initial to final stages and everything along the way, including all aspects of qualitative and quantitative research for the firm’s clients. Duties include proofing data for accuracy, conducting background research, coordinating focus group logistics, scheduling and overseeing surveys and focus group research, and drafting marketing proposals and presentations. In addition, the Project Coordinator will assist with administrative duties, including arranging meetings and travel for the President and helping with billing and bookkeeping. We require at least one year of political work experience.

This can be a fast-paced environment that requires a politically interested self-starter with high attention to detail, time management skills and strong data, communication and writing skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint is necessary and experience with programming languages and database management are a plus. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in public opinion research, political campaigns, and/or a degree in political science or similar social sciences.

This opportunity is slated for an immediate start in our San Francisco office, with a hybrid office/remote work environment. It is a salary-based position with a starting salary of $55,000 per year that includes medical and dental benefits as well as eligibility for a bonus based on performance.
