Local manufacturing company is looking for dependable production works for 1st shift. 1st shift hours are Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 5:30pm. This position works 4 (10 hour) days, no Fridays.

1st shift starting pay is $15.00 per hour

Essential Job Duties:

Responsible for the proper set-up and operation of the Granulating machine to ensure material is cut with accuracy, according to specifications.
Follow established policies and procedures to ensure safe, efficient and proper operation.
Start machines and move controls to regulate and synchronize speed of machine components.
Program, space, and set cutters, according to product specifications.
Observe operation of machine to detect and correct machine malfunctions as necessary to prevent production problems.
Examine completed work to detect defects, and verify work orders.
Ensure that the assigned equipment is maintained properly and the maintenance logs, data sheets, and other metric related records are accurately and properly maintained.
Inspect products for quality to prevent sub-standard product from being shipped.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems as required to maintain production of a good quality product.
Follow safety policies and procedures as required.
Utilize the available equipment to load, unload, label, package, and ship product in accordance with standards.
Maintain knowledge of all open orders and fulfill them in a timely manner based on the machine schedule.
Ensure that all products in the production and warehouse areas are properly labeled at all times and in their proper location.
Ensure that the warehouse is aware of orders that are being produced for shipment.
Conduct daily cleaning of equipment and surrounding production area on a consistent and regular basis.
Provide backup to other warehouse related functions as required.
Participate in inventory process as required.
Understand the processes involved with opening and/or closing the facility.
Be on time for work and be flexible as needed to accomplish daily responsibilities.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED strongly desired
Minimum 1 year machine operator experience.
Basic math skills – ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Must pass ruler test.
Basic reading skills – ability to read and comprehend simple instruction and short correspondence.
Physical demands include standing long periods of time.
Experience in related machinery to load, unload, and lift roll product is imperative.
Possess strong customer service skills in dealing with different people and departments within the company.
Ability to keep environment clean and safe.
Ability to be flexible in order to accommodate changing priorities, when necessary.
Ability to work overtime as necessary or asked, to ensure timely handling of requests.
