Preschool Teacher
We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring individual to join our team as a Preschool Teacher in our play-based learning center. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for teaching while providing a safe, positive, and creative learning environment for our children.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Facilitate activities that stimulate the children’s physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth and development, and encourage risk taking, critical thinking, problem solving, and creativity
Set up classroom materials, equipment, and activities as needed
Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of individual children, create meaningful learning experiences, and teach fundamental skills
Foster relationships with children and provide an engaging classroom community
Create a warm, nurturing, and supportive environment for children
Monitor and assess the progress of students
Maintain accurate records for each child, including daily attendance, weekly plans, and other reports as needed
Assess children to ensure progress in development
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred but willing to train also!
Experience working in a childcare setting
Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices for preschool-age children
Committed to promoting a play-based, creative learning environment
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Strong classroom management skills
Ability to plan ahead and provide a positive learning atmosphere
Respectful of different cultures, languages, learning styles, abilities, and perspectives
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
