Preschool Teacher

A cozy, bilingual early learning program (Chinese and English) in NE Portland is looking for an energetic teacher to help care for friends aged 1-5 years. Training and/or experience in ECE is required, and Mandarin language skills would be a plus.  Full or part-time options available.

Job responsibilities may include:

-Greeting parents and children cheerfully when they arrive and depart

-Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, organized, and safe for all children

-Supervising children in daily activities indoors and outdoors and gently redirecting misbehavior and helping resolve conflicts

-Planning activities that are developmentally appropriate for young children

-Leading circle time and preparing materials for craft activities

-Singing songs and dancing with children

-Helping with food preparation and cleaning

-Helping children with toileting, diaper changes and hand washing

We offer competitive hourly compensation based on experience, paid holidays, and four weeks of paid vacation during school closures.
