Program Description…….

The BSCS Beal Street program provides critical life and independent living skills to youth (ages 15-20). This short term, skill based, residential program provides a therapeutic environment that assists youth in developing the skills to successfully transition into young adulthood.

The Overnight Youth Advocate is a direct service position. Overnight Youth Advocates ensure the safety and wellbeing of the youth of the program. This position is responsible for staying awake to ensure that all youth are accounted for throughout the overnight shift, as well as to ensure that youth are up and ready for morning appointments.

What You Will Be Doing to Make a Difference....

· Ensures all youth (15-20 years old) are accounted for throughout the overnight shift

· Performs specific household chores (i.e. laundry) as assigned

· Responsible for ensuring that youth are up and ready for school

· Act as a positive role model to support youths’ wellbeing
· Spend time with and supervising 12 youths in a small home like environment

The desire to work with youth

Valid MA driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Additional Experience welcomed . . .

Prior experience with supervision/management/training

Experience working with youth

Education: Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Child Development, or Teaching
