Nanny

BURLINGAME, CA (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) - A kind family is seeking a FULL-TIME LIVE-OUT NANNY/HOUSEHOLD MANAGER for their 3 children; a 5-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy and a 3-year-old boy. The kids are in school full-time and the main duties are household management and keeping the children educationally encouraged.  

Hours are 7 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday with flexibility for nights and weekends, overnights, and travel. Some days the parents may work slightly later and will need the nanny to be available until 7 pm. 

Duties include running errands, cooking for the children and family on occasion, light cleaning, helping the children with their homework, and stimulating their educational journey. Other duties include children’s laundry, organizing the kid's toys, managing contractors, creating weekly schedules, and helping manage the household. The family has a vehicle provided to use while on the job. 

The perfect candidate has experience working with school-aged children, is emotionally in tune, sets boundaries in a kind and respectful way, and encourages kids to do their chores. The family has weekly cleaners who come to the home. 

The parents approach their children with respect (at all ages) and start with the assumption that they have good intentions. Bad behavior often comes from a stressful time at school, being misunderstood, being overwhelmed emotionally or not knowing how to communicate. The parents and nanny are a team. When one parent or the nanny takes away a privilege, kids should not go to someone else to get a different answer. The family eats good clean foods and treats their bodies well. They do no sugar during the week and only allow screen time on the weekends(including TV/movies).  Example of the parent's philosophy: Dinner will be set for the family in general and if the children don’t like what’s served they don’t have to eat it, but they won’t make individual custom meals. They’ll do their best to find things everyone likes, but it won’t always be perfect. They will try their best to avoid wasting food, taking portions they believe are appropriate and cleaning as much of their plates

The family prefers candidates who are Covid vaccinated. Benefits include PTO + Sick Days  + possible health care stipend. Start date is ASAP. Pay is $35-45 based on experience.
