A welcoming and down-to-earth Denver, CO family is seeking a positive and collaborative nanny to join them for a 6+ month contract!
Location: Denver, CO
Ages of children: 8 weeks old and 4.5 years old
Start date/Contract dates: August 8 through March 2023
Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40-50 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday-Friday 7:30 am – 5:00 pm. Flexibility for date night or evening coverage when a parent travels for work and an occasional weekend day with advanced notice will be asked and appreciated! The family looks forward to designing a schedule that works well for all parties with their chosen candidate.
Compensation: The family is offering $30/hour based on the 40-50 hour/week schedule, which equates to a weekly compensation of $1,200-1,650 range dependent on experience and the agreed-upon weekly schedule. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance based on candidate need and the full benefits package.
Live-in/Live-out: Live-out. For the perfect, non-local candidate the family is open to helping offset short-term rental costs.
Household dynamic:
This Denver family is active and community-minded, and they love to play! The parents just welcomed their second child this May, and are enjoying the first weeks of being a family of four. Their 4.5-year-old is outgoing, talkative, and loves sharing facts, and engaging in pretend play, and games. He attends preschool throughout the week, so the nanny’s primary responsibility will be caring for the family’s newborn.
Both parents are busy professionals and they are excited to find a trustworthy collaborator to join their crew. In their free time, they love to play outside and spend tons of time with family and friends! Their child will hopefully be receiving a spot at a local daycare in March of 2023, so they are excited to find an excellent caregiver who can temporarily support their family!
Ideal candidate:
This position is ideal for someone who is easy-going, infant-savvy, and enjoys working in an energetic environment! The family is eager to welcome a candidate who brings a focus on fun, play, and warmth into their home and is excited to engage with the entire family. The role will primarily focus on caring for the infant, though school pickup and afternoon support for their eldest child can be anticipated!
Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related meal preparation, bottle feeding and sanitizing, and children’s laundry., While there will be no regular family assisting duties, a candidate who is willing to pitch in as needed will be appreciated.
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license
Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to starting date in accordance with applicable laws
3 years of professional childcare experience
Experience with the infant and pre-K stages
Comfortability in preparing basic meals for children
Pet friendly!
