Performs a variety of general manual labor tasks such as litter picking around the counties roadways under direct supervision.

The successful candidate will be responsible for litter pickup along roadways at various locations throughout the state of Maryland such as, Prince George's County, and Charles County. Work activities include removal of trash, litter, and debris including recap, organic debris, bottles, cans, cardboard, paper, etc.

This also includes the removal and clearing of debris from inlet grates along the shoulder.

Responsibilities:

• Performs general manual labor tasks including, but not limited to: Lifting and moving materials, following applicable safety rules.
• Perform and keep cleaning grounds around litter picking.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Manually pickups and will carry large black trash bags.
• Walk along the fence and clean up the debris stuck on fence line Must be available to walk and stand for long periods at a time.

Requirements:

• No experience is necessary but must be willing to learn.
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Dependability Reliable transportation.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and work efficiently with a team. Positive attitude and professionalism in the workplace.
• Steel toe boots.
• Must wear PPE Protection.

Work Environment:

• Required to exert physical effort in handling objects less than 50 pounds most of the workday
• Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.) occasionally.
• Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements occasionally.
• Applicant Must Be able to undergo through a Background check

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate: Upper Marlboro, MD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience: Landscape maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)

• Groundskeeping: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification:
