Lighthouse Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Clinic are looking to hire a Therapist to join our team in Madison, Alabama. We seek an experienced professional skilled in providing individual therapy for a Full-Time Position Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.

Lighthouse Psychiatry and Behavioral Clinic opened in 2021, serving Madison, Alabama, and the surrounding area. We are primarily focused on medication management and therapy for individuals dealing with mental health issues, our team of providers has over half a century of experience in the field. We are all highly passionate about mental health and hold it dear.

Overview

          In the Therapist role, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic assessments, therapy, counseling, and support services for a range of cases, from adolescents to adults experiencing mental health issues. The Therapist must be familiar with resources within the community and may work closely with them to provide patient support when needed.

Responsibilities

·   Conduct therapy sessions with patients that are suffering from mental health issues.

·   Develops individual patient treatment plans based on their diagnosis of the patient.

·   Refers patients to proper community resources or specialists based on their assessment of the patient.

·   Serves as a patient advocate to coordinate necessary services and resolve emergency problems in patient crises.

·   Collaborate with guardians, relatives, & significant others on patient’s conditions & treatments when appropriate.

·   Completes timely & accurate medical records, including assessment, treatment plan, & progress notes

·   Schedules follow-up appointments with patients on an appropriate timeline as determined by the provider.

·   Records all services performed for accurate billing & in compliance with all local, state, & federal laws. Submits billing documents in a timely fashion.

·   Responsible for maintaining patient relationships with the provider & organization.

·   Provides feedback & consideration to all processes to promote the highest quality of business.

Requirements & Qualifications

EDUCATION/LICENSES:

·     Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work

·     Current licensure as a therapist (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LICSW) in the State of Alabama

·     Current insurance credentials with at least one network (e.g., BCBS, UnitedHealthcare, etc.)

EXPERIENCE:

·     At least 1 year of clinical experience

·     Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families as required.

·     Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

·     Demonstrated experience using written and oral communication skills.

·     Ability to work with both adult & youth/child populations.

Pay and Benefits

·       Pay range: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
