Position Description:

Lead Instructor Commitment: Give leadership to the development and maintenance of quality scouting programs located in underserved communities and schools in the Tulsa and surrounding areas in accordance with the Boy Scouts of America�s Mission Statement. Work with school age youth K-5th grade.

Job Requirements

Valid Driver�s License
At least 21 years of age
Eligible to work in US/U. S. Citizen, Work Visa
Must have a reliable automobile
Must have valid automobile insurance/liability
Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Teaching /Education background a plus
Job Information

Hours worked per week: 40 +
Benefits, Paid Time Off, etc.
May work some weekends/nights

Business mileage reimbursement
Wage: $42,500 annually
Essential Functions:

Able to work and manage set required schedules for self and others.
Able to use a computer for online training and other data input task (Microsoft Office essential) .
Able to manage, train and be responsible for a staff of up to 4 individuals.
Able to work and communicate well with community leaders and organizations such as United Way.
Ensure the delivery of quality programs to all scouting sites/members.
Ensure the opportunity for each Scout member to earn a minimum of one Scout rank advancement during the program year.
Provide a quality outdoor experience at scheduled outdoor events.
When appropriate, attend daily meetings in schools.
Special Responsibilities:

Understand the job functions of staff as to be able to train them on their specific duties.
Able to be involved in the hiring process of incoming ScoutReach staff.
Be detailed oriented.
Follow the prescribed curriculum lesson plans, as outlined by the Boy Scouts of America.
Complete Youth Protection Training, leader-specific training, and other advanced training deemed necessary for assigned areas of responsibility provided by the Boy Scouts of America.
Become certified in CPR and First Aid, training provided by the Boy Scouts of America.
Conduct field trips, outdoor experiences, cultural activities, and other educational/positive life building experiences for Scout members and leaders as allowed by program.
Participate in scheduled or called meetings.
NOTE: All potential applicants MUST pass a background check performed by the BSA, prior to being employed.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $42,500.00 per year
