Environmental Field Technician
Title: Environmental Field Technician
Employer: Hydro-Terra Group (------------) is a small, hands-on Earth resources business comprised of geologists, engineers, environmental scientists, and technicians, with offices in Westminster, MD and Harrisburg, PA. HTG has an immediate opening in the Westminster, MD office for an environmental field technician. HTG specializes in design/build of small, decentralized water and wastewater systems primarily within the Mid-Atlantic region which require operations and maintenance (O&M).

Responsibilities: To support HTG customers and projects, including:
? Operations and maintenance of multiple small water and wastewater systems, including routine sampling, monitoring, and operations.
? Troubleshooting mechanical or operating breakdowns.
? Installation of new wastewater systems.
? Construction inspection.
? Groundwater purging and sampling.
? Field testing equipment mobilization and operation.
? Cone penetrometer vehicle operation.
? Project record-keeping, maintaining field logs and spreadsheet data entry.
? HTG equipment repair, maintenance, and shop organization.
Minimum Expectations: Candidates should demonstrate the following:
? Problem-solving and critical thinking skills and ability to work independently and multi-task on various projects within a small office environment.
? Strong work ethic, professionalism, and effective communication.
? Willing to work outdoors (including inclement weather), accommodate weather-dependent scheduling changes, and travel and carry up to 50-pound loads.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a current Water or Wastewater Operators license or have the ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire, OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training, current certification, a valid driver’s license, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills. Previous experience as an environmental field technician, tradesperson, or licensed water and/or wastewater operator is desired.
