Our Supported Employment Team is seeking an Employment Specialist to support individuals with disabilities participating in Tailored Day Services. Supporting EBI clients to be prepared for and obtain employment. This position provides training and support to individuals with disabilities at their employment, assessment, internship sites and during travel training, as well as resume development, employment placement, employer outreach, task analysis, and vocational plan development.

This position is compensated at an hourly rate of $21.08. An Employment Specialist works a full-time schedule, usually Monday through Friday, but will include occasional early morning, late evening, and weekend assignments. Maintaining a valid California driver's license, registration, and auto insurance is a requirement for this position. All driving on the job will be reimbursed at .58 cents per mile. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided to all staff and clients. This includes face masks, face shields, gloves, disinfectant, hand sanitizer and more!

Duties:

-Assists consumers to perform tasks crucial once employed or within internships to manage and report wages in regards to Social Security benefits as well as understand the impact of wages on benefits. (Initial wage reporting to Social Security, buying work clothing, union memberships, etc.)
-Provides assistance to the job developer with Tailored Day Services.
-Assists to develop vocational sites to provide External Situational Assessments, provides support and evaluation during the assessment period and completes paperwork and final reports.
-Brings all concerns to the supervisor and shares all development, progress or identified barriers with the primary job coach or job developer.
-Assists Director of Employment Services with billing and reports.
Assists with program evaluation, and service surveys.
-Sets up files, performs filing, updates files and mailing lists for consumers and supports.
-Attends all required training and staff meetings as assigned.
-Provides outreach to employers to develop employment opportunities, as assigned.
-Provides support during career exploration and assessment.
-Provides interview practice and training around application interview/onboarding process

May also include the following:
-Provides coverage to consumers at their job site during the absence of primary staff or during the initial training periods.
-Provides direct services to consumers as needed including job coaching, pre-employment skills training and assessment.

Qualifications:

-Experience developing and maintaining on-going professional networks
-Experience supporting individuals with disabilities in vocational settings
-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, Zoom, database management, and basic accounting skills
