Electrical Designer
Zona Technical Engineering, PLLC is a full-service mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) firm focused on providing design services to clients in retail, industrial, educational, governmental, medical facilities, multi-family, and commercial building sectors.
As they spin off into a new company (previously Adams and Associates), they are also growing their Electrical services team and adding an Electrical Designer who can contribute to the overall engineering design of the electrical systems including power and lighting floor plans, one-lines, load calculations, photometric, and special systems. This is a very exciting time for the team as they continue to expand in the Tucson and southwest region.
General Responsibilities
Production of AutoCAD and Revit drawings that are of high quality, complete and accurate
Perform electrical load calculations using computer software
Generate energy code compliance certificates
Electrical distribution sizing
Develop technical specifications & data sheets
Assists in fieldwork with engineers and designers, checking installations, and problem-solving activities
Performs calculation checking and vendor drawing reviews
Work with product reps to select equipment and gather budgetary pricing
Coordination between all architectural and engineering disciplines on a project
Required Skills & Experience
A graduate with an ABET-accredited electrical or architectural engineering degree with 0-5 years of experience
The right combination of character, initiative, drive, and attitude are attributes that are more important than technical skills
Self-motivated, team player, enthusiastic with a willingness to learn
MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Revit preferred
Passed or willing to take the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam
Looking to learn and grow with a small company where you can make a difference in your community
