Newsradio 620 WTMJ is an iconic brand known as “Wisconsin’s Radio Station”, dedicated to providing a resource for the local community, bringing breaking news, weather, sports and more to listeners each day. Newsradio 620 WTMJ is seeking a Digital Content Manager to join our award-winning content and marketing team. Preferred candidates will have strong digital content vision, operations, and digital story-telling skills. The candidate must display quick-thinking abilities, a strong digital vision around content, marketing, and sales, solid copy writing skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task, and efficient use of digital audio/video editors. The ideal candidate must be digitally proficient and capable of editing/writing/creating web content.

Daily Responsibilities of a Digital Content Manager:

Lead, supervise, and manage the vision and activities of an organization’s websites, social media accounts, digital marketing campaigns, and other aspects of the digital ecosystem.
Work closely with the marketing department, specifically the team that handles partner execution and marketing our content
Implementation and maintenance of station websites, generation of creative web content, content marketing
Familiarity with Google analytics with SEO, Google Ad Manager, Data Studio, Word Press, Photoshop, HTML or similar applications
Update station websites, content, show schedule, and promotions
Work collaboratively with the sales and content departments to ensure that any web-related digital campaign has been executed to the partner’s expectations
Including work with the sales team to implement ad campaigns through banner ads and video online
Working with graphic design team to create banner ads, revise ads to meet website specs, etc.
Monitor daily pacing and make recommendations/optimizations to ensure full delivery
Provide screenshots for digital placements upon launch or upon request
Project management, scheduling, and production or website content
Troubleshoot website related issues and work with third-parties to resolve development or functionality issues
Train new users on how to use the web systems
Responsible for detailed tracking of web analytics to ensure that content choices support audience growth and engagement
Work with marketing, show personalities and show producers to identify web opportunities to grow audience of the on-air shows and online content
Work with the marketing and social team to develop voices for social media space and develop social media strategies with sponsored posts
Assisting with social media efforts through Boosted Facebook posts and sponsored content
Digital reporting each month for the sales team to share with partners
Provide notable performance highlights each month to share with partners


Preferred knowledge, skills, and qualifications:

2-4 years of experience with Google Ad Manager, Google Analytics, and Data Studio
Publisher Direct Digital Experience is preferred
Account Management background is a plus
Ability to proactively prioritize urgent requests/tasks
Passion to be a part of a team and the ability to work independently
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication skills
Personal sense of responsibility and accountability
Solution oriented work ethic
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
This role has ‘in-office’ essential functions. All teammates must adhere to GKB’s current COVID-19 protocol.
With this career, you are required to hold a valid driver’s license


Hours/Salary/Benefits: This is an exempt role with a competitive base salary. This role is eligible for full benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, Life Insurance, STD, LTD, 401(k) Plan, paid parental leave, and more with opportunities for salary growth increase with skills and responsibilities and meeting targeted goals. The position will be required to work some evenings and weekends. Travel to all markets within GKB is required.
