Development Technician
Kromek is a leading producer of CZT (Cadmium, Zinc, Telluride) based radiation detectors used in several markets including advanced medical imaging. Our products can detectors and heart disease much earlier and more precisely, resulting in safer and healthier lives.
The research and development technician will play a key role in the Applications Development and Detector Design group by executing experiments and performing critical measurements used to refine our crystal growth and device fabrication processes. These processes will target high-flux x-ray applications for the company’s computer tomography (CT) program.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
• Support R&D efforts in crystal growth and device fabrication business areas
• Execution of experiments planned by senior scientist of the group.
• Basic data collection, analysis, and reporting
Key requirements include:
• B.S. Degree in a Science related field
• Experience serving in a technician role in an R&D department or organization helpful
• Good communication skills, both written and oral
• Excellent mechanical aptitude
• Attention to detail.
• Hands-on problem solver
• Dedication to continual learning
