Laborer
Job Title: Construction Laborer
Reports to: Site Superintendent
Scope: Assist site superintendents at various job sites. May operate a variety of hand and power tools including drills and other tools as directed as well as clean and prep sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare construction sites as directed by manager
- Loading and unloading of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Assembling and breaking down barricades, temporary structures, and scaffolding
- Assist drivers load and unload when needed.
- Clean construction sites from debris, discarded and hazardous material.
- Maintains job site cleanliness and organizes stock room
- Comply with health and safety regulations when operating equipment or walking on the job site even when not on active duty.
- Leaving construction equipment and tools clean, organized, and stored in an orderly fashion after each use.
- Add fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks hinges and closures.
- Install new doors, gypsum, board/vinyl covering paneling, roofing, and minor electrical/HVAC plumbing solutions.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Previous experience as a Construction Laborer/worker preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools such as power drills, hammers, and saws.
- Knowledge of construction operations and procedures.
Must have a valid drivers license.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- May operate tools/machinery. Loud noise. Lift 50 lbs or more wile bending, twisting, climbing ladders, and maintaining equipment.
