Role and Responsibilities
The Center Director will be thoroughly committed to the FHC mission, and be a willing apprentice of the founder and Executive Director. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Center Director ensures the center and its programs are run efficiently and effectively. Team building and community outreach are key levers the Center Director will use to ensure FHC operates at a high capacity. Oversight and duties also include marketing and advancement efforts, grant management, maintaining financial processes, human resources activity, and coordinating collaborations with agriculture-based education programs. The Center Director will directly recruit and train new staff, establish policies and procedures, and assist the Education Director with the management of the afterschool program, summer program, and other partner programs. The Center Director will develop deep operational knowledge of the existing site-based STEAM Education program, community relations, business management, reporting requirements, and process-driven accountability.

Responsibilities
Build and lead a strong operations team: serve on community organization committees; seek participation and involvement with direction for both ongoing local operations as well as state and federal operating obligations.
Develop meaningful and productive professional relationships with community partners and organizations.
Oversee the care of the physical plant.
Oversee implementation of organizational, fiscal, and HR policies and procedures; effectively contribute or further develop policy and procedure to increase efficiency and efficacy of center operations
Oversee the appropriate administration of funds according to the approved budget, and monitor the monthly cash flow of the organization, ensuring that the organization complies with all financial legislation and tracking requirements
Establish good working relationships and collaborative arrangements with community groups, funders, politicians, and other organizations to help achieve the goals of the organization.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Proven leadership and relationship management experience. Concrete demonstrable experience and other qualifications include:
An advanced degree with education management experience preferred; track record of effective leadership; ability to point to specific examples of having developed and operationalized strategies that have taken an organization to the next stage of growth..
Experienced in leadership and management principles as they relate to youth-focused, non-profit organizations.
Experience leading and developing a high-functioning team
