Residential Construction Lead Carpenter/Superintendent, Carpenter, Apprentice

We are looking for apprentice carpenters, carpenters and lead carpenters/superintendents to join our team at an award winning and growing company. We seek people with positive attitudes who are eager to develop and hone their skills as we execute custom home builds and high-end remodels within Boulder County. The work is demanding and variable and requires close attention to detail as some of our projects are featured on magazine covers. An apprentice will have the opportunity to advance to a carpenter to lead carpenter to site manager to project manager to senior project manager and beyond.

Salary and Benefits:

$18-$38 depending on experience

Company Paid Holidays plus PTO accrued starting from day 1

Schedule: 8 hour shift - Monday - Friday 7am to 4pm - no weekends

Responsibilities and Duties:

Be on time

Take the initiative to always keep job site clean

Follow safety protocols

Be organized and productive during work hours

Dress appropriately and come prepared to work

Take direction from leads and Project Managers for tasks to perform (carpenter/apprentice)

Frequent communication with PM, clients and subcontractors (lead)

Work with PM to plan daily activities and efficiently delegate tasks to your team (lead)

Update daily task logs on our system for project managers and management to review (lead)

Purchase materials from hardware stores using company credit card

Turn in receipts/invoices for each purchase on time

Pick up and drop off materials to different sites

Drive company truck and sometimes trailer

Monitor your job site assignment and clock into the proper job using smartphone app

It is your responsibility to know which job site or sites you are expected to work on, these are updated weekly but can change daily

Perform various tasks as assigned by your supervisor

These can include but are not limited to: Demolition, framing, trim work, shelving, door installation, windows, hardware install, punch list, etc

Requirements and Qualifications:

Driver License (required)

Have reliable transportation

No education experience required

Experience in the residential construction industry as a carpenter or tradesman

Knowledge appropriate for your level of:

Principles for building construction; theory, principles, and practices of engineering and architecture related to design and construction.

Fundamentals of tools and woodworking.

Framing techniques and methods.

Applicable local and international codes.

How to read and understand plans

Have the ability to effectively direct and supervise the work of other carpenters and subcontractors (lead)

Possess your own tools (lead) and be building up your tool set (Carpenter/Apprentice)
