Associate Field Therapist

The Associate Field Therapist collaborates with the Primary Therapist on how to empower adolescents, maintain a healthy and functioning group culture, and take therapeutic gains to the next level.

The Associate Field Therapist does this by:

Camping with a group of teens in the wilderness for an 9.5 day shift (followed by 11.5 days completely off)
Provide regular group and individual therapy sessions during an 8 day shift
Collaborate with the primary therapist and assist them in regular co-therapy sessions
Provide clients psycho-education, crisis-intervention, skill building, and clinical assessment
Participate in the staffing milieu to ensure the highest safety standards are maintained at all times
Model the resilience and critical thinking skills needed to live in a wilderness environment (and everyday life)

Compensation/benefits:

Starting annual wage of $44,000+
Can earn up to $53,000+ within the first year and a half of employment

Requirements:

Applicants must be a minimum of a master's level graduate working towards their licensure in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health or Marriage and Family Therapy
Must hold an entry level license within the state of Utah (a grace period will be allowed for those moving from another state)
CPR and First Aid certifications are required (these can be obtained in house after job offer)
Must be able to visually and cognitively supervise clients
