We are English Sweep of Valley Park. Our company was founded 40+ years ago by Gregg Boss. Gregg is recognized as one of less than 50 Master Sweeps in America. Gregg started English Sweep because he wanted a company that delivered outstanding workmanship and a company where tradespeople could come as apprentices, learn our trade, and build a strong, successful long-term career. Although many view us as a chimney sweep company, we have transitioned into more of a specialty construction company. Our growth has created several Apprenticeship Positions with our company. Our Apprentices earn $35,000 per year while apprenticing. Once certifications are earned, you can progress to a lead technician and expect earnings of $37,000! Your desire and accomplishments will determine your career path. Candidates must desire to learn about our industry, enjoy working outdoors and engage in the opportunities to advance within our company. Candidates should have two years of basic construction experience, including framing, concrete, block or brickwork, roofing, or any construction knowledge. We invest in our employee's training via an online portal and certifications more than any other local company to provide our customers with the peace of mind they deserve and our employees with a secure and rewarding future!
Advancement to Certified Technician will occur once certifications and training have been completed (usually a 1-3-year apprenticeship). We provide a very attractive starting training wage. We offer extensive health, vision, and dental insurance plans, paid holidays, and vacation time after one year of employment.
