Capture 3D has an immediate opportunity for an Application Engineer to join our Santa Ana CA team. If you would enjoy interfacing with a broad range of manufacturing companies who utilize a wide range of manufacturing processes, this opportunity could be for you. Our Application Engineer's are our subject matter experts for our industry leading automated and manual GOM ZEISS German manufactured ATOS 3D non-contact measurement and inspection solutions. Virtual and face to face customer demonstrations (following Covid safety protocol), automated solution presentations / programming / installation, proof of concepts, gage R&R's, training, trade shows, webinars, workshops and customer support are some of the tasks of the AE role.

Responsibilities and Duties

Learn and become a power user in the use of the ATOS 3D scanner and TRITOP Digital Photogrammetry measurement systems as well as Capture 3D proprietary and industry standard automated solutions
Demonstrate capabilities of the ATOS & TRITOP measurement systems to potential customers
Support Capture 3D sales organization in the sales process OR Assisting regional sales team, providing product recommendations for customers’ applications
Generating detailed technical reports to aid both sales and customer support
Represent Capture 3D at webinars, virtual events and in person tradeshows when applicable (following Covid guidelines)
Perform installation, training and support to customer base
Customer support both in-house and at customers location
Travel required to support above listed responsibilities
Basic Qualifications

Prefer a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience in the areas of metrology, engineering, manufacturing, or quality control.
A minimum of 2 years of technical related experience (inspection, quality control, metrology solutions, CAD/CAM or related type solutions is a benefit)
GD&T experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret information from blueprints
Professional demeanor and confidence in presenting to a group of people
Self-motivated and able to work both independently and alongside Capture 3D’s management and sales organization
Ability to articulate technical information in a simple and concise manor
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Meet required qualifications to work with ITAR designated data
Willingness to travel
