We are currently seeking a dynamic Procurement Leader to join our team. With over 30,000 SKUs, the role of the Procurement Leader is pivotal in ensuring efficient and accurate procurement processes for our vast range of products.
Job Summary/Objective:
As the Procurement Leader at Barber DME Supply Group, LLC, your primary responsibility will be to lead and oversee the procurement of a diverse range of products, with a focus on durable medical equipment. This role requires a seasoned professional with previous durable medical equipment procurement experience, adept vendor liaison and negotiation skills. You will serve as a company representative and play a critical role in optimizing our purchasing processes, maintaining accurate pricing information, and ensuring the efficient procurement of products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the entire procurement process, from contract negotiation to vendor selection, negotiation of sales price, payment methods, terms, and contract administration.
2. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to secure favorable terms.
3. Evaluate vendor performance and assess their ability to meet our quality and delivery requirements.
4. Conduct market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and trends in the durable medical equipment industry.
5. Oversee the procurement team, providing guidance and support to ensure the department's success.
6. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand product requirements and establish procurement strategies.
7. Monitor and manage inventory levels to minimize overstock and stockouts.
8. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Previous durable medical equipment procurement experience is essential.
2. Proven track record in vendor liaison and negotiation.
3. Strong understanding of procurement best practices and supply chain management.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Strategic thinking and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
6. Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and guide a team.
7. Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
Working Conditions:
• This is a full-time position based at our corporate office or another designated location.
• Occasional travel may be required to visit vendors or attend industry events.
