Job Description:
Home Helpers of Modesto is seeking a compassionate and patient caregiver for an assignment supporting a child in Manteca.

This is a meaningful opportunity for caregivers who have experience (or interest) in working with children with developmental disabilities and are confident providing calm, supportive care.

Client Overview:

• Child with Down syndrome
• Non-verbal
• May experience occasional frustration or behavioral moments
• Requires a caregiver who is patient, attentive, and skilled in redirection

Responsibilities:

• Provide supervision and companionship
• Engage in age-appropriate activities
• Support emotional regulation and redirect behaviors as needed
• Maintain a safe and structured environment
• Communicate updates with the office

Qualifications:

• Experience with pediatric care and/or developmental disabilities preferred
• Patient, calm, and dependable
• Ability to manage behaviors in a professional and supportive manner
• Reliable transportation
• Must meet all California Home Care Aide (HCA) requirements
