This individual will oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout and serve as a key leader across project operations, client coordination, financial management, and team development. The ideal candidate brings strong ground-up and modernization experience within regulated public-sector environments and is comfortable managing multiple stakeholders on technically challenging projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead overall project execution from preconstruction through closeout
• Manage project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and cost control
• Oversee subcontractor coordination, contracts, procurement, and scopes of work
• Partner closely with field leadership to maintain schedule, quality, and safety goals
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, billing, and project documentation
• Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractors
• Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication across all stakeholders
• Support preconstruction efforts including bid packages, constructability reviews, and value engineering
• Identify project risks proactively and implement solutions to maintain project performance
• Mentor and support Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field staff
• Assist with client presentations, proposals, and business development initiatives
• Ensure compliance with company standards, safety policies, and public agency requirements
Requirements
• 10+ years of commercial construction project management experience
• Strong experience managing DSA, higher education, or public works projects
• Experience overseeing both ground-up and modernization projects preferred
• Strong knowledge of construction operations, budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration
• Experience managing large, complex projects from start to finish
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling software
• Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
