Schedule: Full Time | 40 hours per week | 8:00 am - 4:30 pm | Monday - Friday

What You'll Do In This Role:
Be part of a care team that makes every interaction count. As a Medical Assistant, you’ll support participants aged 55 and older by providing compassionate, hands-on care in both the adult day center and outpatient clinic setting. Guided by PACE standards and best practices, you’ll help ensure a smooth, supportive care experience while contributing to the health, comfort, and well-being of the older adults we serve.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Support:
- Collaborate with CNAs, nurses, and medical providers to meet patient care needs.
- Take medical histories, obtain vital signs, and room patients for examinations.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and assist with minor procedures.
- Administer medications and immunizations as directed by a provider
Administrative Support:
- Schedule appointments and authorize transportation services for participants.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR).
- Answer calls, manage patient inquiries, and coordinate with outside providers.
- Order and maintain medical supplies, ensuring inventory is stocked.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure integrated care.
- Participate in team meetings and training to stay current on practices and procedures.
Additional Duties:
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Contribute to a positive workplace culture and perform other assigned tasks.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Current Medical Assistant certification in the State of Michigan from an accredited program
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- One year of experience working with the frail elderly, long-term care population or end-of-life care, preferred
- Prior experience with phlebotomy, preferred
