Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Porter/Floor Care to join our team at Marlborough Hills Rehabilitation & Health Care Center! As a member of our housekeeping team, you will perform daily activities to ensure our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
6a-2p schedule with weekly pay at $18 an hour.
Responsibilities:
Ensure residents' rooms are neat, clean, and free from odor
Perform daily wet mopping, shampooing, and extracting carpets
Buff floors and attend to spills immediately
Empty trash liners and clean containers
Clean bed and rails with disinfectant
Clean countertops, windowsills, bedside tables, furniture, and over-the-bed
Strip, seal, and refinish floors as scheduled
Clean floor edges and corners to prevent build-up
Clean windows and mirrors
Clean personal items, pictures, decorations, flowers, etc.
Requirements:
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism
Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, and visitors
Ability to maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and housekeeping areas
Ability to perform regular inspections of resident rooms/units for sanitation, order, and safety
Ability to work harmoniously with other personnel and handle residents based on their maturity level
Ability to seek out and accept new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing housekeeping practices
Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixture of cleaning compounds, liquids, and cleaning instructions
Ability to communicate information effectively to appropriate personnel regarding emergency situations
