Job Title: EEG Technician (Travel Assignment)
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Duration: 13 Weeks
Hours: 36 hours/week (Guaranteed 60 hours per 2 weeks)
Shift: Day Shift – 3x12s (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
On-Call: Required (1 weekend/month + shared 24/7 call rotation)

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced EEG Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in Anchorage, Alaska. The role involves performing a full range of electroencephalographic studies in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including participation in a shared on-call rotation to support 24/7 hospital operations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine, stat, and continuous EEG studies across all patient age groups
  • Set up, calibrate, and maintain EEG equipment per established protocols
  • Monitor, record, and document brain wave activity with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Identify and document abnormal EEG patterns and clinical events
  • Prepare patients for procedures and clearly explain testing processes
  • Collaborate with neurologists and multidisciplinary care teams to support diagnosis and treatment
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR
  • Support ambulatory EEG services (clinic hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
  • Participate in on-call coverage, including weekends and holidays as scheduled
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and report technical issues promptly

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of EEG experience required
  • Registered EEG Technologist (REEGT) certification required
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Strong understanding of neurodiagnostic procedures and EEG fundamentals
  • Experience with inpatient and ambulatory EEG monitoring preferred
  • Ability to work independently and manage on-call responsibilities
  • Excellent patient care, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Familiarity with Epic or similar EMR systems preferred
  • Willingness to participate in rotating call schedule (including 1 weekend/month)
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (travel requirement)
