Fairport Hardware is hiring a part time sales clerk. We are a local family run business that offers their customers high quality service and products. Every member of our team plays a critical role. Requirements:
1+ year of retail experience.
Able to work a flexible schedule (combination of weekday mornings, afternoons, or evenings and some weekends) to support business needs.
Please do not apply if your schedule is not flexible enough to rotate different shifts.
Instills trust and ensures accountability.
Project a friendly, outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
Open to working 16-24 hours per week.
Excellent customer service skills.
General experience with hardware and eager to learn.
Efficiently able to use computers and/or POS (point of sale) system.
Collaborative and adaptable to carry out a variety of tasks.
Must be motivated and able to multitask between special assignments & customers at the register.
Responsibilities:
Assist in pricing, stocking, inventory, marking and bagging of merchandise.
Promote and sell items with a basic understanding to reach store goals.
Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
Assisting with opening and/or closing procedures when needed.
