ANE Consulting is a successful construction management services firm known for delivering complex, high-visibility public infrastructure projects. As part of a major multi-year initiative supporting AECOM–Hill JV and the NYC Department of Design and Constructions Rikers Program, ANE is contributing to a large multi-site, six-year build that will deliver four new borough-based facilities across New York City.
About the RoleAs Deputy Design Manager / Design Support, you will support the Design Lead/Manager in ensuring building designs are delivered in compliance with defined project requirements, scope, schedule, quality, and budget. This role plays a key part in maintaining technical alignment and coordination across stakeholders on a highly visible public-sector program.
You will collaborate with the selected Design-Build team, consultants, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and NYC agency stakeholders while reporting progress and supporting coordination efforts with the NYC Department of Design and Construction (DDC).
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Design Lead/Manager in ensuring all designs and systems comply with project requirements and goals
Assist in delivery of work packages in alignment with defined scope, quality, schedule, and cost
Coordinate design submittals, presentations, and design charrettes with internal stakeholders
Assist in managing design review processes with authorities having jurisdiction
Evaluate Design-Builder progress and help implement corrective actions as necessary
Support multidisciplinary design coordination and track technical performance
Coordinate Subject Matter Expert (SME) input and technical responses
Provide technical guidance and review integration across design packages
Ensure documentation meets established standards, schedule requirements, and budget parameters
Support technical planning, issue identification, and implementation of proper documentation and quality controls
Bachelors degree required
Approximately 5+ years of relevant design and/or construction experience
Experience supporting large, complex public-sector or NYC agency projects preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills in a client-facing environment
High level of political acumen and professionalism
Commitment to continuous learning and development, including emerging tools and technologies
Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
Salary up to $118,000 or more based on experience
