We are seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team in Ponca City, OK. This role partners closely with plant leadership to drive a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations. The Safety Coordinator will assist with safety program development, training, audits, and incident investigations while fostering continuous improvement in workplace safety.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, perfect for someone who thrives on problem-solving, leadership, and creating a safe workplace for all employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Safety Manager to implement and maintain safety programs in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Review and revise existing programs while introducing new safety initiatives as needed.
  • Conduct incident reporting, investigations, and root-cause analysis; assign corrective actions and track progress to closure.
  • Develop and deliver monthly safety training to employees; evaluate and improve training effectiveness.
  • Lead specialized safety training sessions to maintain compliance and build workforce awareness.
  • Perform safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across all plant areas.
  • Collaborate with operations and plant teams to reduce risks and improve workplace practices.

Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing setting (assembly, machine shop, or related).
  • Supervisory experience in a fast-paced, high-volume facility.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards; OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Ability to work 2nd shift (3 PM- 12 AM, Mon-Fri) with weekend on-call availability and overtime flexibility.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with experience in safety audits, training, and incident investigations.

Nice to Have:

  • Undergraduate degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPE, CSP, or CIH.
