Registered Nurse (RN) – Nurse Educator

Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Hours: 37.5 hours/week

Duration: 14 Weeks

Compensation:

  • Traveler: $3,500–$3,900/week, including stipend
  • Local: $95–$98/hour
Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Nurse Educator to provide nursing education, clinical support, staff development, and competency training to nursing and healthcare teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, including Med/Surg and Perioperative nursing experience, along with the ability to develop and deliver effective educational programs and support evidence-based clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing education and clinical support to nursing staff and healthcare teams.
  • Develop and deliver educational programs based on clinical and organizational needs.
  • Support staff education, training, and competency development.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and clinical support to nurses and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assist with maintaining and improving clinical practice standards.
  • Support staff in implementing evidence-based nursing practices.
  • Evaluate staff competency and provide constructive feedback and additional education as needed.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership and multidisciplinary teams to identify educational and competency needs.
  • Develop and maintain educational materials and training resources.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to staff education, training, and competency activities.
  • Promote safe, high-quality patient care through effective staff development.
  • Perform other nursing education and clinical support duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Active New York State RN License.
  • Primary Source Verification of RN license and registration through NYSED.
  • Current AHA BLS certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of Perioperative/Periop nursing experience.
  • Strong clinical nursing background.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with nursing leadership and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Education
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program required.
  • Master's Degree in Education required.
