We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with an active Florida PE license to lead electrical engineering operations within a growing MEP consulting environment. This full-time leadership role focuses on directing electrical system design, managing multidisciplinary coordination, and overseeing project execution for commercial, institutional, and high-rise residential developments.

This position blends technical authority with project management responsibility, guiding design teams from initial concept through construction administration while ensuring code compliance, technical accuracy, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical engineering design efforts for commercial, institutional, and real estate development projects
  • Oversee electrical systems from schematic design through construction phase services
  • Review and approve load calculations, panel schedules, one-line diagrams, lighting layouts, and technical specifications
  • Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and structural disciplines to ensure fully integrated MEP solutions
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables to maintain efficiency and profitability
  • Provide mentorship and technical oversight to electrical engineers and designers
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, Florida Building Code, and other applicable standards
  • Participate in client meetings, design presentations, and construction coordination discussions
  • Support RFI responses, submittal reviews, and field-related technical clarifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Active Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in MEP electrical design and project management
  • Strong proficiency in Revit and CAD software for building systems design
  • Extensive knowledge of NEC and commercial/high-rise electrical systems
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing complex design projects
  • Excellent client-facing communication and organizational skills
