Summary

They are currently seeking a seasoned Construction Superintendent to oversee projects, ensuring top-tier performance, safety, and client satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to develop schedules, coordinate resources, and monitor progress.
  • Supervise and mentor site supervisors, foremen, and other personnel to foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, identify issues, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within quality standards.
  • Review and interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications to guarantee accuracy in implementation on-site.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors and suppliers, addressing performance, resolving conflicts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Enforce safety protocols, conduct regular safety meetings, and promote a culture of safety across the site.
  • Collaborate with project managers to manage budgets, track costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and site photographs.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in construction, with a minimum of 5+ years as a Superintendent, ideally with mid-sized or larger firms who have specialized in Public Works, Educational Sector, Higher Education, Modernizations, and Municipalities.
  • Project experience in dealing with the LAUSD is a huge plus, but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and building codes.
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • Certifications such as OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR are a plus.
