GENERAL SUMMARY: The Production Filterman assists the machine operator in combining dry and/or liquid chemicals into resin products and packaging finished resins into appropriate containers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist machine operator in the production process of resins.
Assist operator by obtaining correct ingredients for mixing
Weigh out ingredients per specifications for the production batch.
Assist operator by emptying ingredients into production vessel.
Takes samples of batch to Laboratory for testing.
Provide and stencil product information on selected container for product storage and shipment
Filter finished resin into containers using appropriate filter press.
Blend or mix ingredients into produced resins to complete finished resin batches.
Clean and maintain filter press after use
Refer issues/problems to management.
Follow / comply with all safety work rules, housekeeping, and regulations
Provides training on procedures to new employees as needed
Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Requires HS Diploma or GED along with at least 2 years industrial experience
Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English; read and comprehend safety rules, operating / maintenance instructions, manuals, etc.
Must have mathematical skill to add, subtract, multiply and divide and the ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance
Must be able to effectively communicate in English
Must be able to function both independently and in a team environment, with minimal supervision.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Fork truck certified
Working knowledge of hazmat requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.
Must be able to climb 2 flights of stairs at a time.
Job functions are outdoors in all weather conditions.
Must be able to work for a 12-hour shift, 4 days a week.
