Production Filterman
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Production Filterman assists the machine operator in combining dry and/or liquid chemicals into resin products and packaging finished resins into appropriate containers.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The Production Filterman assists the machine operator in combining dry and/or liquid chemicals into resin products and packaging finished resins into appropriate containers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist machine operator in the production process of resins.
- Assist operator by obtaining correct ingredients for mixing
- Weigh out ingredients per specifications for the production batch.
- Assist operator by emptying ingredients into production vessel.
- Takes samples of batch to Laboratory for testing.
- Provide and stencil product information on selected container for product storage and shipment
- Filter finished resin into containers using appropriate filter press.
- Blend or mix ingredients into produced resins to complete finished resin batches.
- Clean and maintain filter press after use
- Refer issues/problems to management.
- Follow / comply with all safety work rules, housekeeping, and regulations
- Provides training on procedures to new employees as needed
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

- Requires HS Diploma or GED along with at least 2 years industrial experience
- Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English; read and comprehend safety rules, operating / maintenance instructions, manuals, etc.
- Must have mathematical skill to add, subtract, multiply and divide and the ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English
- Must be able to function both independently and in a team environment, with minimal supervision.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Fork truck certified
- Working knowledge of hazmat requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.
- Must be able to climb 2 flights of stairs at a time.
- Job functions are outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to work for a 12-hour shift, 4 days a week.
