Position Summary:
Responsible for organizing and conducting statewide injury prevention activities based on trauma data. Develops and maintains professional connections with various organizations at state, regional and local levels to facilitate adequate injury prevention education at all levels. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.

Detailed responsibilities:
* COORDINATE - Organize and coordinate statewide injury prevention activities based on trauma data
* COLLABORATION – Establish and collaborative partnerships with injury prevention and/or other social organizations at state, regional and local levels
* MATERIALS - Develop, design and produce promotional and/or educational materials including brochures, newsletters, and flyers as appropriate
* OUTREACH SERVICES - Determine and acquire support personnel and equipment needed for different outreach services; arrange and coordinate travel throughout New Mexico
* GRANTS - Assist with grant and/or proposal writing as appropriate to the objectives and funding nature of the program; may participate in other fundraising activities
* REPORTS - Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports related to program operations as well as other special reports as necessary
* DEVELOPMENT – Establish connections with counterparts in other states and maintain qualifications and training in accordance with the needs of our program as well as the new developments in the injury prevention field
* EDUCATION - Organizes and provides injury prevention education to individual community members and organizations

* Valid New Mexico Driver's License
* UNM Vehicle Operator's Permit w/in 60 days
* RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM

Physical Conditions:
