Job Description

As a Security Officer Residential Community Patrol Driver in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer in a residential community, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible, document and report security-related concerns, and assist residents and guests with clear, professional communication. You will respond to calls for service, help to deter unwanted activity, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a residential community.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including observing conditions, gathering details, and notifying the appropriate parties per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, amenities, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and community areas, checking for irregularities such as unsecured doors, damaged property, or suspicious behavior, and documenting observations per site guidelines.
  • Complete reports and logs as required, communicate professionally with Allied Universal leadership and/or client representatives, and support community rules through courteous, consistent presence.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of security experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
