Overview

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Construction Materials Testing Technicians for projects located in the Raleigh, NC area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $21-25/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:

• Perform field testing on:

  • Soil

  • Concrete

  • Asphalt

  • Aggregate

  • Masonry mortar/grout
    for compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, and project specifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans in preparation for field observations

• Document field activities, test results, and observations, ensuring all information aligns with project specifications or notes deviations

• Enter data using Metafield or other field/lab information management systems (LIMS)

• Communicate testing results effectively with:

  • Construction Services and Geotechnical Project Managers

  • General Contractors

  • Clients

• Perform calibration of field and laboratory equipment to meet industry standards and project requirements
