Overview

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Facilities Commissioning Field Technicians for projects located in Claude, TX. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $60/hour based on experience and skill level plus $125/per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:

  • Perform inspections and commissioning of facility systems
  • Validate installation per:

    • Intel Master Specifications

    • Intel SID (Standard Installation Details)

    • State/local codes: UMC, UBC, UPC, NFPA

    • SMACNA standards and international codes (ASME, AWS)

  • Interface with Intel System Owners, Engineers, and Trades

  • Identify and resolve construction issues

  • Equipment sign-off and inspection documentation

  • Participate in SOP, SIPP, and pre-task plan audits

  • Coordinate SL1/SL2 tool readiness with tool owners

  • Address discipline-specific RFIs and technical questions


Responsibilities

  • Must have TX Journeyman Electricians License
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 6+ years of startup/commissioning experience on high-tech construction projects

  • Journeyman-level experience in at least one discipline:

    • Electrical, Process, Mechanical, Life Safety Systems (LSS), or Instrumentation & Controls (IC)

  • Strong verbal, electronic, and written communication

  • Ability to read P&IDs, specifications, construction drawings

  • Identify and address field discrepancies

  • In-depth understanding of trade discipline (EL, ME, PI, AR, LSS)

  • Familiar with micro-scheduling and construction sequence

  • Field hour tracking and earned value assessment

  • Strong knowledge of local/national codes and industry standards

  • Ability to interface across disciplines and resolve field-level issues
