Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

13-Week Contract Assignment | Day Shift

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing for a 13-week day shift assignment. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adult patients with acute and chronic conditions requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and medical-surgical interventions.

Assignment Details
  • Duration: 13 weeks

  • Shift: Day Shift (typically 12-hour shifts)

  • Schedule: 36–40 hours per week (may include weekends/holidays as required)

  • Start Date: TBD

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients

  • Monitor, interpret, and respond to cardiac rhythms and telemetry data

  • Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans

  • Administer medications and treatments per physician orders

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

  • Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and discharge instructions

  • Document patient care accurately and in compliance with facility policies

  • Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, including emergency situations

Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific or compact license, as applicable)

  • Minimum 1–2 years of recent experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing

  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)

  • ACLS certification preferred (may be required by facility)

  • Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation

  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior travel or contract nursing experience

  • Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems

  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
