Position Description:

Performs duties to receive, stock, and manage inventory of spare parts for the maintenance department with safety-minded attitude that maintains and enhances a safety culture for the benefit of the Company and its employees.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs Physical Inventory, cycle counts and audits of stock items
  • Receives UPS, FedEx and other deliveries
  • Distributes packages to appropriate departments
  • Receives stock and direct issue items within EAM (CMMS)
  • Communicate with and notify Planner/Scheduler of Planned Parts received
  • Prints barcode labels/tags for new inventory and stores items in the established inventory location
  • Creates part numbers and inventory locations for new items
  • Provides assistance to mechanics and operators in locating parts
  • Restocking of unused items
  • Maintains organization and cleanliness of the storeroom area, shelving, and cabinets
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Able to speak, read, and write English fluently
  • Excellent communication skills, written & oral
  • Able to lift up to 30-40 pounds, 10-15% of day
  • Able to operate a pallet jack and lift truck
  • Able to work flexible hours as needed (occasional weekend or 2nd shift)
  • Proficient with and strong aptitude for computers
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
  • Knowledge of storekeeping practices a plus


This is a union position and comes with benefits provided by the union, upon completion of the 90 day probationary period. Benefits include: medical, vision and dental as well as 1 week of paid time off after 1 year of employment.
