Our client, a locally owned and well-establishedCPAfirm, has an exciting opening foraAccounting & Auditing Manager.The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented,technically proficient in both A&A and Tax, responsive to client needs, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities whilemaintainingthe highest standards of quality and accuracy.Hybridwork schedule(2 days in-office)afterintroductory/training period is completed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Primary focus:

  • Possess andmaintainadvanced technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards (GAAP/SSARS/GAAS) and apply that knowledge in the planning, execution, review, and completion of assurance engagements

Secondary focus:

  • Possess andmaintainadvanced technical knowledge of federal and state tax laws (individual, partnership, corporate and fiduciary) sufficient to effectively review tax engagements,identifyplanning opportunities, and advise clients on tax-related matters
  • Plan, manage, and review engagements, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance, andtimelycompletion
  • Manage and oversee multiple client engagements simultaneously
  • Develop andmaintaintrusted client relationships by providing responsive, proactive, and high-quality service
  • Mentor, supervise, train, and review the work of staff while fostering their professional development
  • Effectively communicate with and on behalf of clients
  • Possess an understanding and appreciation for the profession of public accounting, including all the career benefits and nuances associated with it, anda strong desireand commitment to pursue a career in this profession

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accountingor equivalent experience
  • Minimum of five (5)years experiencein public accounting
  • Active CPA licenserequired
  • Prior experience andexpertisewith real estate related clients a plus
  • Technically skilled and able to plan, manage, and review complex tax engagements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g.Excel, Word) and able to quickly learn and effectively use tax, accounting, document management, and research software (e.g., Lacerte, Thomson Reuters Suite,SurePrep, QuickBooks)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to supervise, train, develop, and review the work of staff
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively whilemaintaininga high levelof professionalism, confidentiality, and client service
  • Successful completion of a background check (including criminal and credit) as a condition of employment
