About the company:

A state-operated long-term care hospital in Maryland is seeking a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator to lead daily operations, champion regulatory readiness, and drive quality outcomes for an average daily census of ~50 residents. You’ll guide a collaborative, mission-driven team focused on person-centered care while ensuring compliance with CMS, The Joint Commission, and state regulations.

Duties:

  • Provide administrative leadership and oversight for a state-operated long-term care hospital
  • Guide staff on compliance with CMS, state regulations, and accreditation standards
  • Ensure implementation and enforcement of patient rights regulations
  • Review and approve facility plans, policies, and procedures for quality and compliance
  • Oversee administrative functions, quality assurance, and operational performance
  • Participate in committee and staff meetings to provide direction on compliance issues
  • Maintain accountability for regulatory and accreditation readiness
  • Support patient-centered care through effective leadership and communication
  • Monitor and evaluate ongoing performance and operational processes.

Qualifications:

  • Current Maryland Nursing Home Administrator license
  • At least 3 years of administrator experience in a 35+ bed facility
  • Familiarity with CMS, COMAR, and Joint Commission standards
  • References from prior administrator roles
  • Background check, medical exam, and health clearance required before start
  • Proof of immunizations (TB, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza, Hepatitis B; COVID encouraged)
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Commitment to quality and regulatory compliance

Shift:

  • Schedule: 40 hours per week, with services provided between 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Sunday through Saturday
  • Occasional rotating weekend hours as assigned
  • Contract term with possibility of extension or permanent hire upon completion
