The Role
Our client is looking for their first dedicated performance marketer to own the entire top-of-funnel growth engine, from the first ad a prospective customer sees to the moment they convert. You would be the sole marketing function at a small AI startup, owning paid acquisition end to end with full budget ownership and measurable CAC targets.
What you'll be doing
- Own performance marketing end to end: creative strategy, campaign structure, budgets, attribution, and CAC optimization across Meta, Google Search, Reddit, X, and emerging channels.
- Build and run a short-form video content engine, producing it yourself, directing creators, or growing a creator pipeline.
- Audit and refresh paid strategy with a rigorous, data-driven testing cadence: what to launch, what to kill, and why.
- Partner with engineering to ship and iterate landing pages and funnel experiments.
- Turn customer feedback into sharper positioning and higher-converting creative.
- Manage influencer and UGC pipelines to scale creative volume.
Tech stack: Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Reddit Ads, X Ads, Google Analytics, Conversion APIs, pixel tracking, attribution tools, landing page CRO, short-form video, TikTok, YouTube
Requirements
- 2-5 years in performance marketing or paid acquisition at consumer companies.
- A proven track record scaling Meta paid ads at a consumer or DTC startup.
- Direct ownership of a paid budget ($50K+ spend) with measurable, results-driven outcomes.
- Hands-on expertise managing and optimizing Meta Ads campaigns.
- Able to work on-site in San Francisco daily.
Nice to Haves
- Experience building or managing a short-form video content pipeline.
- A track record running a successful creator channel or influencer strategy (e.g., YouTube).
- Ability to create short-form video or direct creative yourself.
Why Join
- Be the first marketing hire and own the entire growth engine at an AI company with early traction.
- Meaningful early-stage equity at a well-backed company.
- A clear path to leadership as the function scales.
