We are looking for a dependable, experienced Handyman to help maintain our retail location on an as-needed, part-time basis. Work will include small repairs, maintenance, and light improvement projects in and around the store. Jobs will be scheduled when needed, and pricing will be agreed upon before each job starts.

Responsibilities
Store Repairs & Maintenance
Fix doors, hinges, locks, shelves, cabinets, and store fixtures
Perform minor plumbing repairs (toilets, sinks, leaks, clogs)
Replace light bulbs, ballasts, and basic electrical fixtures (within code and your skill level)
Patch and paint walls, repair small drywall damage, touch up scuffed areas
Retail-Specific Tasks
Install and repair shelving, racks, and display fixtures
Hang signs, hooks, bulletin boards, mirrors, and wall-mounted displays
Help with small carpentry projects for displays or storage
Assist with minor exterior upkeep (entrance area, signage, minor touch-ups)
Safety & Appearance
Ensure work areas are safe and clean during and after each job
Identify potential safety issues and report them (loose railings, tripping hazards, etc.)
Communication & Job Setup
Review the requested work and provide an estimate or bid
Agree on the price before starting each job
Communicate clearly about timing, materials needed, and any unexpected issues

Requirements
Prior experience as a Handyman, Maintenance Worker, or similar
Practical skills in:
Basic carpentry
Minor plumbing
Basic electrical work (within code)
Painting and patching
Must have:
Reliable transportation to and from the retail location
Basic tools needed for common handyman tasks
A mobile phone for calls/texts
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Professional, respectful, and comfortable working in a customer-facing environment (while store is open or after hours)

Schedule
Part-time, as needed
No guaranteed minimum hours
Work scheduled based on store needs and your availability (may include early mornings or evenings)

Compensation
Paid per job (not hourly)
The scope of work and price will be discussed and agreed upon in advance for each job
Any materials or special supplies will be handled as agreed before work begins
