Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry

Location: Canton, Ohio
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift – 3 x 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, experience with telemetry monitoring, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies while maintaining high standards of patient safety.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Ohio RN License or Compact State RN License.
  • Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
  • Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for.
  • Epic EMR experience is required.
  • Current AHA BLS Certification.
  • Current AHA ACLS Certification.
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to assignment start.
Additional Requirements
  • One recent professional reference from a Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM), Supervisor, or Director within the specialty is required for submission.
  • Must successfully complete ECG Rhythm Recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during onboarding.
  • Traveler must be available to work at least every other holiday.
