Responsibilities:
The bakery/deli kitchen staff member is responsible for baking department products and supporting daily kitchen operations as directed by the department manager. This role may also assist with deli preparation tasks as needed to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Bake and prepare department inventory on a daily basis
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently to meet deadlines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Wash dishes, cookware, equipment, and workspaces
- Answer phone calls and provide assistance as needed
Qualifications:
- Provide outstanding customer service
- Follow written and verbal directions, including recipes
- Demonstrate strong multitasking skills
- Ability to remain on your feet for the duration of a shift
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Comfortable retrieving products from freezers and working with hot ovens
- Prior baking experience is not necessary. A willingness to learn is highly valued
- Work collaboratively with a diverse team while maintaining a positive attitude
- Organize and stock product from incoming weekly deliveries
